I am passionate about helping individuals find freedom and assisting them in the process of embracing life, through counselling and by reducing the impact of painful memories using techniques such as Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR). The journey is different for each person but it may start with becoming more self-aware in terms of the present but also identifying incidences from the past that might hinder one from moving forward and looking to the future.
The definition of a traumatic event also varies from person to person and there is no wrong definition or response. Hence the counseling process is partly identifying and dealing with the trauma experienced by the individual. Two people might be faced with the same situation but their experience of it might be completely different.
