The Oral diseases Clinic offers a unique comprehensive management service for a wide range of oral mucosal lesions and other oral diseases consisting of clinical examination and diagnosis supported by a comprehensive array of laboratory analysis including the sampling and interpretation of tissue specimens (incisional and excisional biopsies, tru-cutts) and cytology specimens (superficial and trans-epithelial brushings, fine needle suctions), blood chemistry, haematology and immunology. Special techniques include immunofluorescence investigations for oral vesiculo-bullous disease and newly introduced state of the art liquid-based cytology for cancer screening. the laboratory test are interpreted in-house and as such we have a very good handle on the nature of the oral diseases, can place these in the correct perspective of your general health condition and institute appropriate, effective treatment and monitoring or a suitable referral.
