Reflexology is based on the principle that every organ and part of the body is reflected in certain areas on the feet, hands, face and ears. By using various pressure techniques to stimulate these reflexes, the natural healing potential of the body is stimulated.

Reflexology can be beneficial to both physical and mental wellbeing. It can be effective in promoting a state of deep relaxation, reducing stress, optimizing good health and building resilience.

Therapeutic Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy for use alongside conventional medical or alternative health care. Therapeutic Reflexologists are able to legally and authoritatively provide treatment for:
* prevention of disease, illness or deficiencies in humans,
* diagnosed disease, illness and conditions such as diabetes, cancer, asthma, arthritis.
* signs and symptoms of disease or illness such as pain, fatigue, anxiety, inflammation.
* post-operative recovery.

The Therapeutic Reflexologist will do a consultation and assessment to design a treatment protocol for the patient. This can incorporate other health aspects such as advice on nutrition, lifestyle changes and supplements in promotion of the maintenance of the patients' health.
