In addition to my academic role, I also managed a private practice rendering forensic social work services to families and courts all over South Africa, I started a therapeutic unit in my practice focussing on services to children and families affected by court procedures I also provide training and professional supportive services to social workers and therapists through Sarie Nell Training and Professional Supportive Services, a company that I founded in 2022. I have over 12 years of experience in private practice, where I specialised in forensic assessments, counseling, therapeutic, and crisis management services for children and families. I have also trained mental health professionals, teachers, and early childhood development students in topics such as child protection, child abuse awareness, social-emotional well-being, and child development. I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and skills of social workers and therapists and promoting the best interests and rights of children in South Africa.
